The Michigan Humane Society has offered a $2,500 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of whoever left a neglected puppy wrapped in plastic on a sidewalk in Detroit. A good Samaritan made the disturbing discovery on Friday morning and contacted the animal shelter for help.
The Michigan Humane Society stated:
This poor pup was rescued by MHS after a concerned citizen found him on the sidewalk wrapped in plastic. He is now in the care of our medical team, and we’re hoping he makes it through the night. Please keep him in your thoughts throughout the weekend.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the puppy is a male three-month-old shepherd mix. Tips in this case are wanted from the public. The shelter stated:
“Our CID team is currently canvasing the neighborhood looking for leads in connection with this criminal activity. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAKUP.”

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
