Four dogs guarded injured friend struck in middle of busy road

Four dogs guarded their injured friend in the middle of a busy road and refused to leave his side. The video, which went viral in China, shows the dogs surrounding their friend after he had been struck by a hit-and-run driver. The sad incident occurred on January 19 near Anning district of Lanzhou, Gansu Province.

According to People’s Daily Online, the heartbreaking video showed the white dog lying on the road while his friends seemed to be both guarding him and waiting for him to get up and leave with them. It is believed the dogs were all strays. The video was captured by onlookers and later posted to Weibo, the popular China media site.

In the translation from the Daily Mail, social media users were outraged that no one stopped to help the dog. Witnesses say the white dog died shortly after being hit.

“An animal is a life as well, it does not mean you can just leave it in the middle of a road,’ said ‘fupolije’.”

‘This shows us exactly how cruel human beings can be,’ commented ‘lengfengsr’.”

Humans sure have a long way to go in the empathy department as compared to our canine friends. Rest in peace poor dog.

NOBODY stopped to help! Humans are the worst and the planet should be given to the animals, humans have no compassion. When will it change? 🙁

Yes cruel, does anyone know what happened to this group of dogs? For all we know they are still there waiting for their friend to wake up! Instead of videoing it, why not help the dogs? Disgusting!

The Chinese were outraged??? You’re kidding me. They torture dogs and then eat them. I find it hard to believe that they were outraged when they turn there back on so many helpless dogs each day who are skinned alive, beaten, burnt and other forms of torture before ending up on someones dinner plate.

It is sad that no one stopped to help the injured dog. The other dogs were at risk of being hit also. Life cannot be that busy where one cannot stop and help an injured animal! Some people are so cruel! Where is the compassion?!

So outraged they did nothing but video it – so typical of China to treat animals like disposable objects – AND this video only proves that animals have much more compassion and loyalty than humans – and we call them dumb – HARDLY – animals are way smarter than humans in every way, shape and form. Humans are the stupidest and most ignorant of all species.
