Elderly dog at animal control

For nearly a month, elderly dog has waited to be saved from shelter

For nearly a month, an elderly dog, 14 years of age, has waited to be saved from a busy California animal shelter. The dog, dubbed Orson, has been at the Los Angeles Animal Services – East Valley Shelter since April 19.

Senior dogs should be enjoying soft beds and kind voices…being pampered and adored. But Orson is not being pampered or adored…he is stuck in a lonely kennel run, surrounded by the distraught barks of other dogs who are frightened and confused.

How you can help this elderly dog

You can help Orson find a rescue group, or an adopter, by networking his adoption information. You can find Orson’s Petfinder link here.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

If a rescue can pull 14 year old Orson, keep him the required 2 weeks I swear i would take this big sweet baby for a happy life here in the country (glide area) He has touched my heart. I volunteer with GEH transport for legs and i bet i could get him on a run soon. Call me via GEH transport and Rebecca and see if this will work for Orson. Doll Stanley IDA knows me too. I cook. Orson looks so skinny. I do organics, much as i can, vitamins and i will assume vet services if needed. I do my own worming soon as they are over the fence. I just pray he doesn’t have heartworm. He would fit right in. I have room in my bed and a buddy (mix Malenois} (gotta check the spelling) Call me please. Vicki Hood Roseburg/Glide Oregon. See me on Facebook.

Are you at all least concerned with his weight being in there a month skin & bones. Vicki seemed so interested them nothing not a peep from anyone. This is unfair. Why do they do that to ppl?!

The guppy people out there in that State of Discard really don’t give a shit about each other So Why would the average Californian want to help an animal that deserves to live out their live with someone caring and loving them… the chances aren’t Good to say the least!!!

PLEASE someone step up and adopt Orson – senior dogs make wonderful pets and you will never regret giving him a safe loving home – he will love you unconditionally and make your life full.
