In a tragic accident on Thursday evening, a Florida teen from Myakka City accidentally shot himself with a handgun outside of his home and died. According to AbcNews, Wyatt Austin Ballard Hall, 15, had been trying to shoot animals that had been getting into the trash.
Hall’s parents told Manatee County deputies they heard a gunshot from their bedroom about 9:00 p.m. According to the teen’s parents, Wyatt came back inside his home and said he had accidentally shot himself. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and tried to save him. The gunshot wound was in the boy’s upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation has determined that Wyatt had been outside with three of his friends when the shooting occurred. The victim had the gun out and accidentally shot himself; the witnesses were scared and fled from the scene.
“At this time, there will be no charges as the incident appears to be a tragic accident” said MCSO spokesperson Dave Bristow.
Deputies found the handgun and are currently investigating.

Wyatt’s family created a GoFund Me page to help the family pay for the teen’s funeral expenses. Donations exceeded the monetary goal.

Why was he shooting animals who were just hungry? Why is a teen allowed to shoot a gun?
I’m sorry this young person lost his life. Too bad they couldn’t figure out how to secure the trash to discourage raiders. A life may have been saved. I’m glad no animals were killed as well.
Sorry don’t feel anything for the kid or family. You want to shoot innocent animals with friends around instead of secure your trash, and why does a teen has access to a loaded handgun, asshole parents need to be charged. Shooting himself in the upper body, what the hell was he holding the gun backwards. Just proves he had no idea how to handle a gun and should not of had access to one.
Well, I’m sorry he died but Karma has a strange way of showing up when needed.
I think it also was karma !!!!
Um…HOW, exactly, is this punk’s death “tragic”?!? He was a piece of crap with a gun, shooting at animals — for trying to get into the trash, no less! — and IMO, he got what he deserved! And why did his moronic parents allow him to have access to a handgun, in the first place? And what happened to the poor animals he was trying to kill?? They’re the ONLY ones I care about in this situation….
I’m glad he died fucking asshole criminal- abusing animals and the biggest animal shot himself hahahahaha who the fuck want to donate for this cunt funeral
“Go Fund Me,” my foot! Its God’s judgement on him! He was trying to kill hungry, stray animals that never meant him any harm. Its called karma.
Yes a tragic accident that could have been prevented. No one should be out at 9:00pm in the dark shooting at anything!
Karma. He was shooting innocent animals. I’m not inclined to feel sympathetic.
This occurred in Myakka, not Nyakka. Very sad story all the way around though 🙁
I corrected the typo error. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
OOPS!
Karma kicked his ass
It’s unfortunate the kid shot himself, but he had no business trying to shoot animals in the trash with a shotgun. It’s obvious he didn’t know how to use the gun, and why in the world did his parent allowed him to use it. Not very bright family!
Best news I heard all day, another one bites the dust. Good ridden….!
Sorry, but not sorry. Gun safety anyone ???
I am glad i am not the only one who feels this way. I am not happy he died but obviously he is just another scum bag kid abusing animals who would have grown up to be a scumbag adult who abuses animals. I wish all animal abusers would meet this fate. I am glad karma finally stepped in.
Yes, wouldn’t it be wonderful if all animal abusers had the same thing happen to them? Wow, that would be a huge celebration.
I feel bad that the only thing the animals were guilty of was being hungry. If some one is so insensetive to that kind of pangs to the point of trying to kill the one who is hungry, I feel no remorse for them. This whole incident is off on so many levels. Dark, no knowledge of gun safety, access to a loaded gun, etc.
Nobody should have donated to this idiots family. The fuck kind of child did you raise that he’s outside shooting animals and himself. Would have been better off eating those tide pods.
ON HIS NEXT LIFE IF THERE IS ONE, HE WON’T BE SHOOTING ANIMALS AS HIS LESSON. I DON’T FEEL SORRY FOR HIM, AND I DON’T FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE THAT HURTS ANIMALS! SO HE GOT A PERFECT TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE, PLUS HE ALSO WILL GO TO HELL FOR HAVING EVIL SPIRITS IN HIS HEART TOWARDS THE HUNGRY VOICELESS!
