Flash knew he was no longer wanted in his home

Take a look at Flash. Can it be any sadder than to know this one-and-a-half-year-old male Siberian husky realized his family has abandoned him? Was it because no one spent the time to train him? Was it because his previous owner thought bringing an adorable puppy into the home would never chew a slipper, never bark out of turn or magically be house-trained?

Whatever the reason, Flash is the one suffering the consequences. On October 12, he was surrendered to the Lancaster Animal Care Center in California.

  1. What a beautiful boy and here only because his humans failed him. Gave none to minimal training and expected him to be the most “perfect, obedient” dog. Unfortunately, that is not how it works and even with an older dog from a shelter who is suppose to be house trained, there will be mistakes because everything is new to them once they enter your home.
How sad to see a dejected dog like this. They are very intelligent and he knows he has been taken away from the only home he has ever known. Someone please adopt this guy or even foster him and train him to be the best dog we know he can be.

    • Might I suggest you go volunteer at your local shelter before you start complaining? Most of the networking is done by dedicated but overworked volunteers, who also have jobs & families & pets of their own.

  2. Is the owner stupid or just INSANE?! It’s the owner that needs to be trained! This beautiful dog deserves a loving home where he will be deeply appreciated and treasured!

    • Linda A, if you’re serious about adopting this beautiful boy, contact the Animal Care Centre as soon as possible, as they may be able to link up transport to get him to you. If not, they will mist likely know of a group who can arrange it. They d9 this all the time to get dogs across country to rehome rather than kill them. There is also Pilots and Paws who do the same thing.
Don’t know about you, but I just wanted to come and sit with Flash and cuddle him til he goes to his new home – except I’m in Australia.
Please God, bring somebody into Flash’s life who can give him the loving furever home he deserves so that his broken heart will heal.

  4. These people who throw their animals away to suffer so heartbroken and terrified are unworthy to walk this earth. These animals are far more valuable than those people, where does trash like this come from? I pray for all of the precious little souls who are abandoned, starved, abused and killed by humans with no heart or soul. Something must change they deserve so much better.

  5. We just lost our beloved dog to cancer after 12 years. We live in the UK, in Dorset. It breaks my heart to see this poor dog so unloved. Can the shelter please advise how we could bring him to the UK?
