Man ran over dog

Family horrified – man ran over their dog and then did the unthinkable

A family in Kansas was horrified when their rescued dog, Poochies, was struck by a man driving a truck – according to Fox 4 News, the man exited his vehicle after hitting the Chihuahua and proceeded to stab her to death. The grim scene played out in front of Kirstyn Barlow and her children last Thursday.

What happened next

Barlow told the news agency:

“He brought her down and dropped her down in front of the kids like it was nothing, like he didn’t care. He just wrapped her in a tarp on the side of my house, like an old paint tarp that was moldy. He was like, ‘She’s gone. There was nothing I could have done. I had to put her out of her misery.'”

Barlow doesn’t know if her dog could have been saved, but she wishes that the man had not taken her dog’s life, and death, into his own hands.

The local authorities in Olathe have identified the driver and are looking to see is charges for animal cruelty are warranted.
