Senior dog dumped by family and since forgotten

Two years ago, a senior dog was left at a New York animal shelter and now is seems that she has been forgotten. Mimi was nine years old when her family left her at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh. Fast forward to November 2018 – Mimi is still there…waiting for her chance to be loved.

More about this forgotten senior dog

On Mimi’s Facebook page, information about her has been publicly shared:

Although wary with strangers, once Mimi gets to know you she is the most loyal BFF you will ever have, you can do anything to her. She loves to hang out, cuddle, give kisses and play. But you need to give her that time she needs. For this reason her shelter will only allow her to be adopted by a LOCAL person, one who can stop and visit Mimi at the shelter so they can get to know each other.

Mimi is house and crate trained and she already knows many commands. She is described as “dog selective.”

Helping Mimi find her home

Mimi needs help – she needs to be seen in order to be adopted. You can help make this happen by taking a moment to share this article. You can find Mimi’s Facebook page here.
