A Pennsylvania family was frantic for help after discovering that their cat was hopelessly trapped in the kitchen’s garbage disposal. The harrowing situation was recounted by the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, who sent an officer out after receiving the call.
In a rather humorous Facebook post, the Department described the curious feline’s predicament:
“It was a “kitten situation” this past Saturday in Tredyffrin Township, after our Officers were called to the Residence of a Family in the Wayne section whose cat got just a lil’ TOO curious – and was stuck in their garbage disposal!”
Officer Brian Hughes was the hero of the day – between some tools, a bit of coconut oil, patience and time…the curious kitty was finally freed. The Department assured those concerned that all of the cat’s “nine lives” were still safely intact.
“We’re happy to report that our new furry friend was uninjured and remains with all 9 lives intact – who says only Firefighters rescue cats 🐈 👮🏻♂️🔧💪🏻???”

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
