A faithful dog refused to leave a man who was shot during their walk this week in Philadelphia. According to NBC Philadelphia. the 54-year-old victim was gunned down along North 7th Street on Monday night – the dog that he was walking, who belonged to his mother, never left his side.
Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said, “The victim was laying on the sidewalk, completely unresponsive, and next to him, on the leash, was the dog.” The man sustained a gunshot to his neck and was rushed to a hospital for care – it is unknown if he will survive the devastating injury.
The dog who remained by the man’s side – even as blood began to pool on the sidewalk – was eventually reunited with his owner. The authorities believe that the man may have been the victim of a robbery – an investigation into what happened is ongoing.

Pray that this man survives and that his mom’s dog was taken or even shot. Hope they catch the scum who did this and lock them up forever.
Talk about faithful – this is a prime example of what dogs are – this man was gravely injured and the dog, who was not even his, never left his side – humans could learn a lot from animals and this alone shows what great beings dogs are – we should never underestimate them.
I pray for a healing miracle for the man who was shot, and so thankful the dog stayed with him until rescued…..and that the monsters who shot the man did not harm the dog!!
