A faithful dog is showing his undying devotion to his owner outside of a hospital in Brasil. According to the Independent, the dog has been waiting for months outside of a hospital where his owner died after suffering devastating injuries in a street fight.
As reported in local media reports, the dog’s 59-year-old owner, a homeless man, was rushed to the Santa Casa de Novo Horizonte hospital in October…his dog chased after the ambulance to the medical facility and has waited patiently for his person ever since.
The dog was provided with food and water by hospital staff, and eventually, he was taken away to a facility which had agreed to care for him. The faithful canine, however, had other plans – somehow he escaped from the facility and ran back to the hospital to stand vigil for the person who will sadly never return.
Recently, a devoted German shepherd passed away at the site of his buried owner – the faithful dog had slept at the burial site for a decade. Dogs prove, yet again, that love never truly dies.
