What evil lurks, and this time it nearly cost a friendly white German shepherd his life. Did someone cut off his paw? His story begins here with a Good Samaritan who didn’t turn her back on a dog begging for help.
“He just walked up to a lady. She didn’t ignore him, and knew he needed help. Got him in the yard and sought rescue/help for him. He was a stray,” stated one of the animal advocates responsible for helping in the rescue.
And as the happy shepherd bounded out of the home when rescuers arrived, who could have been prepared for what they saw?
“What act of evil got got him? He approaches happily and playfully but in unimaginable pain. Pain that he is used to. A normal dog whose leg looks sliced off. A clean cut that has built infection, swelling, and gathered leaves and dirt. He desperately needs urgent care. We are rushing him to the vet.”

When Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were called to help, co-founder Stacey Silverstein wasted no time and coordinated with volunteers and local rescuers who never gave up until the dog they named Sparrow was safe.
“Sparrow was found by a Good Samaritan wandering the streets with a hacked off leg , hobbling in unimaginable pain yet still affectionate, sweet and friendly. His leg is infected, swollen 10 times it’s size and you can tell the hack job is old, and Sparrow has been in a living nightmare for God knows how long,” Stacey posted on the organization’s Facebook page.
Sparrow is now being made comfortable at the organization’s partner veterinarian in Texas and is scheduled to have his leg amputated today. His condition will be updated.

Why doesn’t the state of Texas just move itself to China? It seems that this state has a large population that enjoys hurting and abusing animals and authorities allow them to get away with it – so many horrific cruelty seems to come out of this state. Sparrow is an innocent dog who was either horribly mutilated or had a bad accident and was wandering for who knows how long and NO ONE stepped up until one of the few good citizens helped him – and once again – who showed up to rescue him? RESCUE DOGS ROCK, NYC – No rescue in Texas showed up – as usual.
Thank you to the sweet woman who DID NOT turn her back, and reached out for help. This beautiful dog deserves a loving, caring home to be so mild mannered with such a horrible injury. No doubt someone did this and karma WILL FIND THE USELESS, WORTHLESS, excuse of a monster. Just wish I could be there to witness it.

I REALLY AM DISGUSTED WITH THESE SICK COWARD BASTARDS HURTING INNOCENT ANIMALS. OF COURSE HURT ANIMALS THEY ARE DEFENSELESS BUT THE MOTHERF^%KERS ARE AFRAID TO TAKE ON SOMEONE THEIR OWN SIZE.
