This week, an emaciated puppy crawled into a stroller at a homeowner’s residence…the resident called an area rescue agency for help, and the puppy was picked up. The pup, dubbed Lamb Chop, was taken under the wing of the Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue, which posted a video shortly after his arrival.

This is garage rescue. No fancy commercials, no triple figure budget, no funding from city, county or state. This is funded by you.ShareSpread the wordThis is real rescuehttps://www.turtlemountainanimalrescue.org/donate

The puppy’s rescue

The rescue group wrote:

Lamb Chop wandered into a yard late last night and crawled into a stroller. The homeowners messaged us. Sandra, one of our volunteers picked him up and brought him to Keith. After an 18 hour rescue day and no room at the garage shelter, Keith pushed aside tools on a workbench, gave him fluids, a vitamin B shot, NutriCal, and made a soft bed in the living room. He got all of his itchy spots massaged, and fluids every few hours.

Happily ever after not meant to be

Sadly, the puppy will not have his happily-ever-after. Despite being provided with care, he passed away shortly after being rescued. The rescue group explained:

Lamb Chop got all the care he needed for his condition, he was not given dewormer or treated for mange, he was too weak, but he got something better. Compassion and kindness he may never have known, a gentle patience I’d want in my last hours. He died in a warm bed off the ground. He went to sleep in a place that has rescued thousands of his brothers and sisters, a place where he will not be forgotten or his life in vain.

How can an adorable pup like this be left alone to fend for himself and try to find a place to rest his weary body down? People are so cruel and heartless. This pup received so much love in the short time Keith had him and I hope he fell softly to sleep knowing he was loved and that people did care about him. RIP Lamb Chop and run free with the other animals who never got to complete their life on earth.

Sounds like the poor pup needed a blood transfusion and IVs at a hospital. At least they tried to help but needed intensive care at that point when no one else called to get help for this starving up.

Absolutely heart breaking….but at least when he crossed Rainbow Bridge he was being taken care of and loved for awhile.
