Elsa waits for her family to return. Sadly that will never happen because Elsa was surrendered when they moved. A volunteer shared her story and the reality of this dog’s heartbreak.

“When I first went into the kennels, she was on the other side … not coming to me … with her body shaking.”

Armed with treats of hot dogs, the volunteer sat with the frightened and confused dog on the other side of the kennel. Elsa didn’t leave.

“She just sat with me. She took treats very soft mouthed. She never barked once,” the volunteer said.

According to the dog’s previous owner, Elsa is fine with bigger dogs, but doesn’t do well with smaller dogs and cats. She is only four-years-old and is said to be good with children and suitable for a new pet owner. Sadly, this girl is very broken now, and is in a small shelter which is filling up quickly.

  1. How and why do owners do this to their family animals? Don’t they think how the dog might be feeling when being dumped off at a strange place? Why have a dog if you can’t commit to him/her or at least find a family who would provide her with a new family? People are selfish and only thing of themselves and never put the feelings of these animals before theirs. There should be a national registry of all owners who take their dog or cat to a shelter so that they can never ever own another animal for any reason. Unless there is an extremely valid reason, then they should never have another animal. Unfortunately there are landlords who suddenly decide they don’t want dogs in their buildings and that is no fault of the owner, but take the dog/cat to a no kill shelter of which there are many. Not too many valid reasons I can think of but we need to make sure these people don’t pull this with another dog or cat.

  2. More F ….. Heartless lunatics! Karma will be strong and, hopefully, FAST!
Love and prayers for beautiful angel Elsa!

  3. Please someone open your heart and give this sweet dog a chance as far as the owners you are selfish uncaring people to just dump this poor dog at a shelter you care about nothing but yourselves

  4. So here we have another beautiful dog just dumped by her disgusting humans. I hope they receive the same from someone they love and get a little taste of what they dealt! Prayers she finds her way into a loving home.

  5. REMEMBER THIS is THE CALIFORNIA “GUPPY : YUPPI’s” Hell they don’t give one IOTA about anything or anyone BUT #1 themselves!!! they were spoiled at birth by the dope smoking, children my age now that were the 60’s groupies!!! It continues from Generation to Generation… California coined the term Narcissistic!!! So sorry for this girl… may her family … get the Karma they deserve…

  6. WHY WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SO HEARTLESS ??? IF YOU HAVE A DOG (OR ANIMALS )YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM !!!! I HOPE KARMA GET YOU ???????? FIND Ä HAPPY HOME ELSA AND HAVE Ä GOOD LIFE ????????????????

  7. The only thing I can say about owner surrenders they are nothing but low life scumbags who have no heart. It makes me think these poor dogs had a terrible life with these assholes because these owners thought nothing of them. I hope when these bastards get older they are dumped by their family in a pit hole and left to die while they suffer with a terminal disease. Useless subhumans.
