The two dogs at the heart of a cruel social media post, initially seen over the weekend on Instagram, have been found. According to WAFB News, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputies canvassing the Gardere area found the two dogs and they are reported to be in good health.
The young male in the video, which shows the two leashed dogs being spun and then hurled onto the street, has not yet been found. Social media postings indicated that the youth was a student at Plaquemine High School, but the school issued a statement on January 8 denying that any students at their school were involved:
Official Statement Regarding Alleged Student Incident:
The local law enforcement agencies have confirmed that the person committing and/or filming the act posted in a viral video is not a student of Plaquemine High School or a student in the Iberville Parish School System.
