Dog without a tongue found in Detroit

A dog, who is missing her tongue, was found this week in Detroit, Michigan. According to Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue, a good Samaritan found the female dog, dubbed Helen, and brought her to safety.

What happened to her tongue?

According to the rescue group, it is unclear what happened to Helen’s tongue. She may have been born without it, or she could be the victim of twisted cruelty. Helen will be sedated in order for a veterinarian to better examine her mouth, which is understandably “very sensitive.”

Helen is safe

Helen’s past may be a mystery, but her future is now bright because she is safe and off of the streets. According to the rescue organization, Helen is “very sweet,” and appears to be a nice dog who was just in need of a second chance. Follow the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue on Facebook here.

My God, how will she be able to eat, to pant, to drink water? Detroit is a crime-ridden, dogfighting, cesspool of a city. Sixty, seventy years ago, It was a wonderful place to live.

Could “HELEN” be a victim from the inhumane sub-human that cut the nose off of the face of another stray pet many months ago??? HEARTBREAKING to think their could be some insane inhumane monster doing this to innocent breathing beings that GOD CREATED! Thank God ‘HELEN’ is safe now, may God bless her with a long healthy life full of HUMANE LOVE… 🙂

I would like to think this was a deformity of birth but the amount of animal cruelty that runs rampant in this country, I doubt this is the case. Some knuckle dragging bastard is most likely responsible for Helen’s missing tongue. I hope she can be helped – she deserves a nice life. She is the innocent victim – and if it does turn out to be animal cruelty I truly hope the bastard that hurt her meet their demise under the wheels of an 18 wheeler.
