An Ohio dog warden has reached out to the public for help in locating the owner of two badly neglected dogs who were found in Butler County. On Thursday, the Facebook page for the Butler County Dog Warden and Humane Officers posted images of the skeletal dogs and asked for the public’s help:

“We picked up these two dogs today in the City of Hamilton in the 1000 Block of Franklin Street. We are asking for your help on any information on possible owners of these dogs.”

Both dogs are females and appear to be older – both are thin, but one is skeletal with all of her bones clearly visible. According to the dog warden, the dogs are both safe and receiving care at the humane society. Anyone who recognizes the dogs is asked to call to report the information they have to Supervisor Kurt Merbs at 513-785-6542.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. Wow!!! It is amazing to SEE OHIO STANDING UP and ACTUALLY LOOKING for someone who has/is abusing animals….. THIS is Wonderful to see. and I for one hope it continues!!! THANK YOU WARDEN”S!!!! hopefully they will do better and the shelter and Not be Euthanized!!!

  2. Now that the dogs are safe and being care for, it is time to find the piss poor owner and make them pay dearly – they should be responsible for ALL the medical care, and be given a hefty fine, publicly humiliated, have their picture posted in every shelter and rescue group in the state of Ohio and be treated like the human trash they proved themselves to be.
