A sweet-natured dog, who loved to be held, hugged and snuggled, recently found herself homeless because her nice personality wasn’t what her people wanted. Yes, as amazing as it may seem, Helena’s last family dropped her off at a Georgia animal shelter because they felt that she was just “too nice.”

Much to most everyone’s dismay, the snuggly, cuddly “Velcro dog” was not what Helena’s former family had in mind when they brought her home. Fortunately for Helena, something better was in store – a family who would appreciate all of the love that this special girl has to share. On March 7, LifeLine Animal Project let everyone know that the exceptionally nice dog had been adopted:

Nice guys (dogs) don’t always finish last 😉

Helena, the snuggliest pup in the ATL, who was returned to our Fulton County Animal Services location after she was “too nice” has found a home who’s just as nice as she is

Happy Adoption Helena – may you get all of the love that you so desperately crave.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. GREAT NEWS Those prior “NIT-WITS” don’t DESERVE to have possession of a “COCKROACH”!!! I hope they will Love HER AS WE KNOW SH WILL THEM!!! Thank you for hanging In with Her to find a Happy Home!!!

    • I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but a previous article said that the previous owners bought her as a guard dog.

I think the only danger that anyone would be in from this snuggle-bug is getting liked to death ????

  2. I would have brought her home in a second, I love those mush mush precious dogs, loyal, loving pumpkins. I’m glad she was returned, those previous aholes don’t deserve to have a dog. Now she will be loved the way she deserves. Happy trails to you and your loving family, Helena!!

  3. HUGE THANK YOU to the kind couple who adopted Helena – she deserves a safe loving home and you will never regret giving her one. Wish you and Helena a wonderful life.
