In Virginia Beach, Virginia, a dog and his bonded 10-month-old kitten have a heartwarming story to tell. The little dog was spotted huddled between two porta-potties at a soccer complex; paws cradling his little feline friend. The two stayed there until Animal Control was called and took the two to the shelter.

Sadly the shelter didn’t allow the two to stay together and could not guarantee they would ever be together again. No one came to claim them at the shelter.

In stepped Saver of Souls Pet Rescue…

“Introducing Gomez and Morticia! This bonded pair were rescued by good samaritans who found them cowering between two porta-potties. The two went to the shelter, where nobody stepped up to claim them as their lost pets. The shelter was unable to guarantee that they would be adopted together, so our rescue stepped up to the plate. We couldn’t bear to separate these sweet friends! They are doing well in foster care and will be available for adoption once they are spayed and neutered. Gomez is an approximately 2 year old Chihuahua mix and Morticia is a 10 to 12 month old kitten.”

  1. Good vibes to these two bonded animals. A bonded pup and kitten would be perfect for any home. They look like they would give an owner so much joy and happiness watching them play around. Yes, training would help, but may not need that much for these two. Hope they are adopted together.
