Live puppies fed to snakes

After disturbing video, zoo vows to stop feeding live puppies to snakes

Following the release of a disturbing (make that horrifying) video, which showed a live puppy being fed to a large snake, a zoo in China has vowed to stop the practice. According to the South China Morning Post, the Riverside Zoo in Pingdingshan, Henan province, bore the brunt of outrage from animal lovers after the video began circulating on the internet.

The video behind the outrage showed a live puppy sitting near a python in a snake enclosure – “bulges” in the snake implied that other puppies had already been served as meals to the reptile.

According to PETA Asia, after receiving “hundreds of angry comments,” the private zoo agreed to stop offering live puppies to their snakes. Read more from PETA Asia here.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

Although we know what snakes of this type eat, no one has to view it or in any way see it. Stupid people to do this to a puppy too.

Beyond disgusting and unnecessarily cruel…..Absolutely heartbreaking!!!!!! WTF is wrong with these POS’s??? And WHY did they decide that live puppies were “optimum” snake food???

I know that anyone who is intentionally cruel to a furbaby will burn in Hell forever for their cruelty…… hope they get there ASAP……. after suffering a terrible death alone and afraid…..

RIP poor furbabies, you didn’t deserve what happened to you. Please look for MacKitty in Heaven and he will introduce you to his wonderful snuggle buddies……

So, they’re going to, mercilessly kill the puppies before dropping their lifeless bodies in the enclosures?
China has no regard for any form of life, anyway. They still skin animals- including stolen family pet dogs and cats alive for fur and meat trade.
    I am not surprised

I believe NOTHING China says regarding animals – this country is despicable when it comes to animal welfare – no way will they stop feeding innocent puppies to snakes – they eat dogs/cats and feels this is acceptable, why would they stop feeding puppies to snakes just because in infuriated people – they don’t care – they will just hide it better. BOYCOTT ALL PRODUCTS IMPORTED FROM CHINA –
