The Detroit Dog Rescue, along with the help of Detroit Animal Care and Control, went above and beyond dog rescue on Thursday, and saved a razorback pig that had been abandoned in the city.

According to the organization’s Facebook page, Pat the Pig had been rescued while the team had been out helping abandoned dogs at Animal Control. Now Pat the Pig needs a perfect home. The very friendly pig loves to eat. As to a future home, the ideal adoptive family must live in a city where razorback pigs are permitted, have plenty of room for him to exercise and have knowledge of how to care for him.

Interested in adopting this adorable guy? For more information and an opportunity to meet this adorable and very smart pig, contact the Detroit Animal Control at 313.224.6356. The shelter will also transfer Pat to an appropriate rescue or sanctuary.

Pat is just too cute. Please share his story and help to find him the perfect new home.
