Two Florida teens have been arrested after despicable video footage showed them kicking and beating an innocent puppy. According to WPTV News, on December 11, a neighbor took cell phone video showing five-month-old Ace being kicked and punched at a home in the 1000 block of Jamaica Ave. in Fort Pierce.
The authorities were contacted and discovered a pit bull puppy who was too injured to walk – as it turns out, Ace suffered a broken hip in the brutal assault. The authorities arrested Franko Edmond, 19, and Ochelo Eglaus, 18; the teens are facing felony animal cruelty charges for the heinous incident.
Officers transported the injured puppy to Rescue Adoption – an area rescue agency. Ace is still recuperating from his injuries – both physically and emotionally. Despite the horrific abuse, he is a playful and friendly puppy. Ace was taken in to be fostered by Dagmara Monsalve – the president of the rescue organization.
One of Ace’s abusers, Ochelo Eglaus, remains behind bars – Franko Edmond was initially arrested but he is currently out on bond.
