In Phoenix, Arizona a dead dog was discovered hanging over a fence on Thursday morning. The tiny tan and brown male Chihuahua’s lifeless body was found near 23rd Avenue and Devonshire – north of Indian School.
According to Fox News, authorities were not able to determine how the dog died or how long he had been hanging there. The people who lived at the home where the dog was found were not at home. A photo of the dog hanging on the fence had been posted on Facebook; leading authorities to investigate the disturbing information. By the time police were able to track down the exact location of the dog, someone had already laid the dead pup’s body on the ground.
Local residents are shocked and want answers. No owner has come forward. Did the dog accidentally hang himself or was it an egregious act of animal cruelty? The Arizona Humane Society will perform a necropsy on the dog to determine the cause of his death.
Rest in peace little one.
