An Oklahoma dad surprised his daughter on Tuesday with a shelter dog she had fallen in love with, but thought the dog had been adopted. Hallee Fuqua had been volunteering at the Humane Society of Stillwater caring for a dog named Rambo – visiting with him often.
According to the Dayton Daily News, Hallee’s father, Lance knew his daughter had fallen in love with Rambo, but had always told his daughter she should wait until she graduated from college to adopt a dog.
“She found out this weekend that Rambo had been adopted and she was broken,” Lance Fuqua wrote on his Facebook page.
But a special surprise waited for Hallee.
“My wife and I decided to secretly adopt him (Rambo) 3 weeks ago. With the help from the Humane Society we kept it a secret. She found out this weekend that Rambo had been adopted and she was broken. So Sunday night we surprised her with her early Christmas present. We captured the moment on video. Merry Christmas Hallee!”
GET THE TISSUES! For years, Hallee has asked her parents for a dog. While volunteering at her local Humane Society, she fell in love with a pup named, Rambo, but was disappointed to learn he was adopted. It turned out, her parents secretly adopted Rambo for her. ❤️❤️❤️ STORY: https://bit.ly/2V0CzbM

Donations to the Humane Society of Stillwater would be perfect to help more pets just like Rambo find their loving families.
