A couple in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is facing charges for allegedly hanging two dogs to death at their breeding kennel. According to the Pennsylvania SPCA, Elizabeth and John Stoltzfus are each facing four counts of animal cruelty and four counts of conspiracy to commit animal cruelty for allegedly hanging, and then burning, a Bichon-type dog and a Golden Doodle-type dog.

The Stolzfuses’ kennel, Garden Spot Puppy Haven, is no longer licensed by the state and its squalid conditions earned it a spot on the Humane Society’s ‘Horrible Hundred’ list. Before being shut down, the breeding facility was cited for selling underage puppies, unsafe housing, unsatisfactory sanitation, and excessive feces.

Nicole Wilson, Director of Humane Law Enforcement at the Pennsylvania SPCA, commented on the cruelty case:

“This case is especially heinous as it alleges the intentional torture of these two animals through hanging, which is a slow and painful way to die. It is our hope that these defendants are convicted and face the harshest penalties available.”

  1. Couple of Nazis! Just shoot them. Bypass jail. Just F-ing kill them. I volunteer! WHERE WERE THE AUTHORITIES ALL THIS TIME??

  2. Easy way to take care of them put rope around their necks and fucking hang them both until they die and then burn their bodies

  3. MOST breeders can’t be trusted! If you can’t see the parents, and where the pups and parents are housed…..RUN not walk to your car and drive away!!!

  4. Sadly, in this area of the country a lot of the Amish people have puppy farms. For the most part they don’t consider pets anything more than a commodity and a means to an end for their living. A lot of people overlook it because of their religion. I don’t. I don’t give a shit what religion somebody is – they don’t have any right to be abusive or cruel.

  5. May they rot in Hell! Obviously no one was monitoring these POS’s! Rest in peace poor dogs, you didn’t deserve this!

  6. The name sounds Amish, who are notorious for puppy mills and animal cruelty. RIP sweet dogs. I hope the owners rot in Hell.

  7. Marsha, these people are not breeders. They are Amish puppy mill operators. Sounds like their operation was closed and they needed to get rid of some dogs. They are ruthless.

  8. These two hunks of sewer slime have proven they are nothing more than animal abusers and should have no right to ever breathe again – they are nothing but trash and should be treated like such – hogtie them and dump them in the nearest landfill with the rest of the garbage.

  9. If they had so much wrong with the kennel, what were the authorities doing about this? They are also responsible for the deaths of these two dogs!
