In a most disturbing case of animal cruelty and drug trafficking, Andres Lopez Elorez, a Colombian veterinarian pleaded guilty to sewing liquid heroin bags into the bellies of purebred puppies. Elorez appeared in federal court on Friday in New York City.

According to a press release by the United States Department of Justice in Brooklyn,

“Elorez and his co-conspirators, based in Colombia, smuggled heroin into the United States using various methods to conceal narcotics from law enforcement, including the surgical implantation of liquid heroin into the bellies of puppies. When the puppies arrived in the United States from Colombia, the heroin was surgically removed from their bodies. Between September 8, 2004 and January 1, 2005, Elorez and his co-conspirators imported one kilogram or more of heroin into the United States. Elorez was extradited from Spain to the United States in May 2018.”

During his court appearance, Elorez  acknowledged using the puppies as his drug mules and conspired with an experienced veterinarian to bring drugs into the United States knowing what he was doing was wrong and a crime. One Drug Enforcement official stated it was the “most outrageous method of smuggling.”

Once the operations to the puppies was completed, they were shipped to the United States and when the heroin was removed surgically from the stomachs of the puppies, most died.

“As alleged in the indictment, Elorez is not only a drug trafficker, he also betrayed a veterinarian’s pledge to prevent animal suffering when he used his surgical skills in a cruel scheme to smuggle heroin in the abdomens of puppies,” U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue stated.

Elorez faces a mandatory prison sentence of ten years.

Rest in peace little puppies.

    FYI: It’s Colombian – C-O-L-O-M-B-I-A-N – , not “ColUmbian”!!

Regardless, this cretin is an utter assh*le, and deserves to rot in a dank, dark prison cell somewhere… forgotten by all except those fellow inmate who love animals!

OMG: WTF is wrong with people???

This is absolutely disgusting. How can anyone be so callous and cruel?

Nice to know this POS will go to prison before he goes to Hell!!!

In addition to this POS veterinarian, any of the useless shitbag POSs who helped murder these precious little treasures should be locked up forever (& lose the keys please). Only leave prison in a pine box….. They all have reserved spots in Hell where they will burn forever for their cruelty……. hope they get there ASAP after dying alone, afraid, in horrible pain (& worst of all) unloved………

RIP precious treasures, your lives mattered and we hope you get justice……. please look for MacKitty in Heaven and you can RIP amongst loving snuggle buddies…. so sorry that the humans who had taken vows never to harm, failed you so terribly…….

Should sew some poison into his stomach and let it slowly seep out. This is what they do in these countries. Any way they can get drugs into the US is ok with them. Glad this scum was caught.
