A handsome dog named Clifford is struggling at the animal shelter – in fact, he recently became so stressed in his kennel run that he had to be moved to the garage.

Clifford’s story

Clifford arrived at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, New York, in February – the toll of being locked away is evident by the troubling behavior that he has displayed inside of his kennel. On June 25, a video showing Clifford’s extreme distress was posted on Facebook.

Helping Clifford

Being in the kennel environment is overwhelming to Clifford. The barking from other dogs, and being locked away from any type of companionship, is too much. On Monday, a plea on Clifford’s behalf was made:

***URGENT*** CLIFFORD WAS SO STRESSED IN HIS KENNEL, THEY MOVED HIM TO THE GARAGE…PLEASE HELP HIM!!!😥

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue will pull CLIFFORD if a foster steps up!!!

Clifford needs a foster home – he needs to walk out of the animal shelter and enjoy the quiet of a home environment. According to the shelter, Clifford is dog-friendly and house-trained. Clifford loves to go for walks and play with toys. Please help Clifford by sharing this article!

Anyone interested in fostering sweet Clifford should message his Facebook page (Adoptable Clifford).

  2. PLEASE some kind person step up for Clifford – he is so stressed out being stuck in a garage – and this certainly no way to help him calm down – I am sure if he is relocated into a foster home there will be a giant change in his demeanor – he will become the wonderful dog he was meant to be. Please help Clifford.
