On Saturday morning, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Focus on Furever, issued an urgent plea for a “calm, shy boy” who is on the list to be put down by day’s end. The mixed breed dog, who is just two years of age, is being held at the Corpus Christi Animal Care Services facility in Texas – he is located in kennel 48.
Notes provide a glimpse into the death-row dog’s personality:
Very calm shy big boy. Licks fingers and takes treats gently. It is recommended no cats in the home.
This dog, whose name is unknown, is labeled for “rescue only.”
Right now, he desperately needs the help of strangers who are willing to share his information – networking is known to save lives.

I hope by some miracle this beautiful young dog is saved:: Texas is the ONE State that Makes me shudder!!! There is no animal support per say there at all… I hope your friend Eric is successful…
He’s safe! My Rescue Contact Eric had him pulled. He is arriving to him this week! Yes, I’m in GA but find cases to be more dire in FL, TX, NY, & CA. So I have to rely on email, posts, & phone in the other states where I have no ability. I am just an individual so my capabilities are limited unfortunately. So happy he’s free! Best feeling ever. Only wish we could save them all. But even saving 1 is a new life for that baby. 😉
Transport confirmed, he will be here Tuesday evening. Thanks to everyone for getting the word out. You helped save his life. His Freedom Journey begins tomorrow.
