Two bonded dogs console each other at the North Central Shelter in Los Angeles, California. Tightly clinging to each other as they cuddle to make sure they are touching each other, they still shiver in fear; the noises from the other dogs, the strangers walking by and the clanking of the metal bowls all add to their turmoil.

Rescue volunteers have limited information about the two terriers, however neither of the dogs have been reported to have been aggressive; they’re just very shy and frightened. Can we blame them?

  1. Even if a foster took them until they were not afraid the way they are. Maybe then they could be adopted separately if necessary. Sad that they are so scared. People really have no idea that animals went discarded like this, have feelings and get scared too. Hope they get scooped up.

  2. I hope and pray they will both find a loving home and never ever have to be separated because they are family now!
