A bewildered senior dog, described as “perfect for any home,” is left to wonder why her family left her at a busy animal control agency in California. The 10-year-old dog, named Tacha, was left at the Baldwin Park animal control facility on May 4 – and though Tacha is described as perfect, she has not been rescued or adopted in the days that have passed.

On May 12, United Hope for Animals wrote the following information about sweet Tacha:

Tacha is a doll. She walks well on leash and has a nice, calm disposition, which is one of the bonuses of taking home an older dog – they’re already gotten the super active days out of their system. She is a total love bug, wants to be a lap dog and just be petted all day long.

Adding,

“She’s super mellow and a bit bewildered by the shelter – she just doesn’t understand why she is here and why her family abandoned her. She likes to lean on you and is good with other dogs.”

How you can help this bewildered senior dog

Tacha’s odds of finding a rescue agency or adopter increase greatly the more that her adoption information is shared. You can help this beautiful senior dog find a new home by taking a moment to network on Tacha’s behalf.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. I CAN NOT STAND the fear and look of bewilderment a pet has when their (rotten excuse of a) family deserts them. This is horrible.
May karma find the people who surrendered her and find out what being alone and scared is all about!
Prayers for Tacha that someone will come for this precious soul.

    • they are just evil idiots.not a care in the world for that poor dog..it’s disgusting and cruel.poor dog dosent know what he s done. I hate scum like them

  2. Gosh, she sound wonderful!!!! Can’t imagine why she hasn’t been adopted. If I lived closer I would take her in a heartbeat!!! What a sweetheart!!!!

  3. I am a child of the 60’s and I always have thought the chemical parties that were all the rage in all of California ::; had a serious affect on the population as a whole… and it has filtered down to the next couple of generations!! The Guppy People… no feeling, no compassion , no conscience… They could care less about the animals who depend and are devoted to their owners ONLY to be Tossed in a MOMENT without A PASSING THOUGHT!!!! Sort of a SICK ENVIRONMENT>>>

  4. Those owners need to be thrown in that cage and left there. There is NO WAY I would ever turn in my pet no matter what.
