A dog, betrayed by his family, is still waiting for a new home over a month after he was left at a crowded animal control facility in California. Bear is an exceedingly handsome (and big!) German shepherd who was surrendered at five years of age.
More about Bear
Bear is a big boy, weighing in just over 100 pounds. Volunteers describe him as a sweet dog who is non-reactive around other dogs. United Hope for Animals wrote:
Bear is a glorious example of his breed, a big and beautiful dog who appears to have been left outside and neglected. He has some fly damage to his ears and he is polite with people but does not appear to have experienced much affection from them in the past. He is polite on leash and is nonreactive to other dogs. This majestic dog is ripe for training and socialization as he is gentle and clearly intelligent.

He’s beautiful someone please adopt him
Beautiful Bear looks like a wonderful dog and just ripe for the right family or possibly for a police force to add to their K-9 unit. Bear would be so dedicated to his family and please them with all that he does. If he was trained for police work, he could also be trained to be a search and rescue dog. So many possibilities for a dog like Bear. I hope someone snatches him up and he has the best life possible going forward. Please keep us informed as to his status.
Please give this handsome sweetheart the loving home he deserves!
