Update 1/6/18: Margaret has been rescued!

A beautiful German shepherd, reported to be 10 years of age, is patiently waiting to be saved from the Los Angeles County Animal Control in Downey, California. The senior shepherd, Margaret, arrived at the animal control facility on December 14, and as of the writing of this article, she remains locked in her kennel run, waiting to be set free.

Margaret is in need of a loving home to enjoy the remainder of her years – right now, she should be stretched out on a comfortable bed, not far from the person who loves her. Instead, she is in a kennel run, surrounded by other dogs who are equally frightened and confused by their predicament.

Efforts have been profffered to pull, foster, and transport from SoCal to Minnesota – but (justifiable) local opposition to such long distance transport for this precious senior is still seeking a local solution (the MN option is a last resort)… so PLEASE reach out to your rescue contact in SoCal, ASAP!
