A beautiful senior dog, with the most endearing gray face and expressive eyes, is sitting in a lonely kennel run in California. Her name is Princess and on August 14 she lost her home when she was surrendered to the Los Angeles County (Downey) Animal Care Center.

Helping this surrendered dog

An animal advocate is networking on Princess’ behalf. A social media post on Princess’ behalf reads:

Pretty, Pretty Princess!
We have a sweet senior here!
She is a granny goose who needs TLC and a
Warm and cozy home.
Please help her find the perfect reputable rescue.
Or an adopter who will make her the Queen Bee!

Your help is needed

Networking saves lives – that’s where YOU come in. Please share this article with Princess’ adoption information and help find her a reputable rescue group or a loving adopter. The more you share, the better her odds are of being rescued!

  1. What a sweet, adorable face. Seniors are the best and are so appreciative of whatever kindness they are given. A comfy bed, food and water and some gentle pats on the head and body, and you have a devoted dog for the rest of his life. Why does this happen and how do people live with themselves when they cast an older dog out like this.I realize that as a dog gets older you have more medical issues but you deal with them as they come up. Talk to your vet, ask for help, don’t just dump your loyal dog because you can’t afford to deal with his/her medical issues. Retirement shelters for unwanted elder dogs to live out their lives.

  2. What pretty girl with those big beautiful eyes!!! She deserves a loving home where she can live out the rest of her years. Wish I lived closer. I love seniors!
