In Beverly, Massachusetts, a badly malnourished dog was found earlier in the week wandering the streets. The Animal Rescue League and police are asking for the public’s help identifying the owner of the small terrier estimated to be ten-years-old.
According to the Facebook page of the Animal Rescue League, the male dog now dubbed Angel, had no identifying collar or microchip.
“We need your help to find the person(s) who abandoned this poor dog in terrible condition in Beverly, MA, last week. The approximately 10-year-old Terrier mix was found on the intersection of Charnock and Prospect Street. He is now safe and on the mend but we are asking the public to direct any tips to our Law Enforcement department at (617) 426-9170 or [email protected] OR Beverly Animal Control at [email protected] or (978) 605-2361.”
When discovered, Angel was in “appalling condition” – filthy with overgrown nails which had been cutting into his paw pads as he walked. Fortunately the happy terrier is being well-cared for and spoiled and is already showing positive signs of recovery. It seems a veterinarian checkup with needed grooming, haircut and a bath has done wonders. Angel appears to be all smiles now.
