At the Harris County Animal Shelter in Texas, Archie was found as a stray on January 25 and brought to the shelter for help. The animal control officer stated he thought the dog had been attacked by a wild hog. The shelter attended to the friendly dog’s medical needs and spent most of the afternoon stitching Archie’s wounds on his abdomen, back, legs, neck and face. His injuries to his groin area were so severe, veterinarians neutered him immediately in order to save his life.

The shelter is doing the best they can and have extended his stay, hoping that someone will come forward to either rescue or foster Archie.

  1. There are hog fighting rings that teach dogs how to fight. I wonder if Archie came from there and he didn’t make the cut. So sorry Archie, praying for a rescue to give you a second chance.
