The body of a female dog, left trapped with her tail and foot in the door of an abandoned van, has cruelty officers from the RSPCA in tears. Investigators are hoping the public can help find the person responsible for leaving the tan-colored dog in an old Ford van in Chapel Lane, Hillingdon, on New Year’s Eve.

According to the Hillingdon Times, RSPCA Inspector Anthony Pulfer was at the scene when police opened the van. Although it is not certain whether the dog was dead when she was left trapped in the vehicle, it is feared the dog could have suffered horribly before she died.

“It was incredibly distressing to see such an upsetting sight with the poor dog’s foot and tail trapped in the door…It’s almost too horrific to imagine that someone could have slammed her leg and tail in the door while she was still alive and just left her to die,” stated Pulfer.

The dog was also emaciated which adds to the concern about the suffering she endured before she died. Thus far there have been reports of two men leaving the van on Christmas Eve and other reports of a dog barking in the vehicle, but it is not known if this was the same dog. The dog had no microchip and attempts to trace the owner of the van have not been successful yet.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018.

I pray they find those monsters and lock them up in a jail cell with a tough, mean, strong animal advocate who hates animal abusers.

This is really sick. All vehicles have a VIN number they could trace to last registered owner. We need more cameras everywhere to find the scum that does shit like this. If someone heard a dog barking why wasn’t it investigated??

  3. Nancy Raymond says:

O the RSPCA will do their usual nothing – of course, the license plate was ‘apparently’ traced but cannot be located because the RSPCA will not bother to really investigate – way too many stories about animal cruelty are basically ignored by this lousy organization – and this will most likely be another one. This poor dog will get no justice because the RSPCA is a useless waste. IF by some miracle the owner of the van is found, the public will never hear about it and he/she will never be prosecuted.

I agree with Nancy R, that the RSPCA does minimal investigation and no outcome where the animals deaths are fairly ignored. More people in the UK have to speak up and make this organization do their job. Sorry pup, hope your suffering was short lived and that you were already gone when they closed the van door on your tail and foot. People heard this dog on Christmas Eve and never called police? Might have saved the dog’s life.

That van is registered to someone….. THEY SHOULD BE HELD REPSPONSIBLE!!! This is the most horrendous, horrid death this poor baby could have had. MAKE THE PEOPLE WHO are responsible pay for this!!! Please, this can not be a slap on the hand or a minuscule fine!!! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL ANIMALS….make someone pay for this!

This has to be solved. Prosecution demanded. The UK, in particular, Hillingdon has some serious problems with scum that would so destroy a gentle innocent. Keep us all posted. One more thing –Why didn’t the people who heard her barking look to see why she was so frantic. She died a horrible death because of failures and apathy of many.

  7. Debbie says:

You have got to catch who did this…..who does the van belong to? Put a reward out….someone knows whose dog this was & who did it……don’t give up. They must be punished for what they did to this poor pup…..I don’t know why the people who heard the barking didn’t go check it out,…..she could still be alive today…..God people if you see or hear anything, check it out or call someone….We have got to be their voice.

Pure Evil. There are reserved spaces in Hell waiting for them where they will burn forever for their cruelty…… (hope they all die ASAP: alone, in pain, in horrible circumstances and afraid…… the same as this innocent furbaby died)……

The terror and pain that this furbaby suffered makes me cry…… Precious treasure, your life was stolen from you (& your life mattered). I am absolutely heartbroken for your trauma & death. So sorry that humans failed you in every way possible……
