Nearly a month after Molly was surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care facility (Lancaster) she remains heartbroken and scared. The young German shepherd, just over a year of age, is so frightened by her current situation that she hides beneath her bed…refusing to come out.

A volunteer’s encounter

On September 10, a volunteer visited Molly at the shelter and wrote:

This baby is broken hearted. Surrendered by her owner just about one month ago and she’s still devastated. I tried to coax her out but she stayed tucked safely away. Swipe to see kennel card photo. This angel needs a miracle.

A video reveals Molly’s sadness:

  1. Oh, my heart breaks! She reminds me so much of my own Molly Brown! If my Molly had ever ended up in a shelter she would have been just like this! Please, someone with a caring heart, give this sweet girl a chance! You just don’t know how much a broken little dog can give back!

  2. Someone needs to get this dog now before she completely shuts down or becomes so down, that she will bite. So far I guess that has not happened, but a caring foster could even help to make Molly more adoptable. That’s what needs to be done to help get her noticed and become a more friendly dog. Please, someone who has the ability to do this needs to step up and help an otherwise healthy dog.
