When it’s playtime at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, we humans are reminded how family values, love  and even playtime are just as important to animals as to all of us. And when we capture a few precious moments in time of the bonobo, a pygmy chimp, playing with her baby, what’s a human to do except react with an “awwwwww” and a smile?

The bonobo, who is slightly smaller than a chimpanzee, shares more than 98 percent of its DNA with humans and is our closest living relative according to the post on the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens Facebook page. Like humans, the highly intelligent bonobos live in family groups.

How many of us remember playing “airplane” with our children? And oh my, do our children just grow up so quickly?

This writer certainly remembers playing the same adorable games – those precious memories frozen in time – even just for a moment or two.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your having your favorites among those to “see first.
