A 70-year-old man in Forsyth County, Georgia, is facing a charge of felony animal cruelty for allegedly dragging a dog behind his truck. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the suspected animal abuser is identified as Emory Junior Samples; Samples was arrested on Monday afternoon.

The authorities tracked Samples down after receiving reports from witnesses who were able to get the license plate number from the accused man’s truck. The victimized dog was located “in the woods” and required veterinary attention. The dog’s current condition is unknown.

According to reports, the dog is believed to have gotten loose from Samples’ property and he apparently opted to make the dog run behind his truck to get home, rather than putting the dog inside of the vehicle.

  1. He’s proud of looking like and being called Junior Samples? I don’t know that even the “real” Junior Samples could be this brutal, cruel and vile.

  2. They had a JR. Samples on the “Hee HAW” show back in the 60 &70 ‘s !!! He was a big, friendly, funny guy and he died in 1983.. THIS Jr. Samples IS by NOT Means Funny and he Should have to run 20 miles in his bare feet on gravel behind a truck going 65 mph:::: I hope his dog makes it and he is NEVER allowed to own a pet EVER and has do pay a fine in the thousands or do the time!!! Stand Up for your abused animals GEORGIA it is time!!! … OK!!

  3. This POS needs to be dragged behind his truck! I hope they throw the book at him and he spends some time in jail thinking about what he did to his poor dog!

  4. This fucken fossil should be drawn and quartered!!!!!!! Useless old bastard!!!! Put this bastard in jail….They’ll take care.of him!

  5. The worst part of this is that he will escape punishment due to his age. His attorney will say “he’s an old man who made a mistake, and jail time will kill him, your Honour”

Personally, I’m just as sick of hearing how old people aren’t responsible for their behavior as I am of hearing how young adults aren’t responsible. I knew that abusing an animal was wrong when I was 12, and I will continue to know that until the day I die.

  6. There is no doubt he did this .Witnesses saw him in his truck and turned in his license plate number this man deserves punishment for the abuse. throw his old wrinkled butt in jail and leave it there for at least a year then charge him with a $20,000 fine and a lifetime ban on ever owning or living in another home with a companion animal

  7. I don’t care one bit that he is 70 years old – he is a miserable, cruel, inhumane waste of flesh and bone – the judge in this case needs to step up and make an example of him – put him in jail and let the inmates have a crack at his old ass – let him be intimidated, beaten, abused and treated as cruelly as he treated this poor dog – he needs to be a victim – OR tie his useless old ass to the back of a semi and step on the gas.

  8. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO DRAG THIS OLD BASTARD BEHIND A TRUCK TILL HE DROPS. OLD BASTARD SCUMBAG. HOPE HE BEGINS TO SLOWLY ROT IN PAIN. ANOTHER USELESS POS AND THEN THE WORLD WONDERS WHY I DISLIKE MANY HUMANS.
