Elderly shepherd, it shouldn't end this way

Sharing your life with a dog who makes it to 16 years of age is a gift – something that most dog owners hope they get to enjoy. But one homeless dog in California is not sharing the gift of his long life with anyone – 16-year-old Buddy has been at the Los Angeles County Animal Control (Downey) facility since November 26 and he is waiting to be saved.

A plea for help

On Thursday, an advocate shared a plea for help on behalf of this elderly dog, writing:

For a German Shepherd to grow old to have a sugary white face and slow shuffle, big brown eyes and a toothless grin of adorableness…..he should not be in a shelter till his loving hearts stops on earth and passes on to heaven.
He needs his golden moments with cozy beds, sweet snuggles and warm tasty bits.

Adding:

Rescue or humanitarian with a big heart, love and the capability, please immediately get Buddy home where he deserves to be loved.

Saving Buddy

Buddy could really use some help right now – he’s an elderly dog who should be enjoying the remainder of his life in a home, with a family who adores him. You can help make that possible by sharing this article, with his adoption information.

  1. I tried to research what happened to this precious treasure. No luck…… Perhaps Penny can find out (even if it’s sad)…… I can’t believe how cruel some POSs are to their loyal, loving, trusting senior companions…….

This poor furbaby…… Absolutely disgusting……. How can someone do this and still like what they see in the mirror looking back at them???

How can anyone be so cruel to a loving family member when they are most in need of love and support??? Precious Treasure Buddy, your life mattered, I am very sorry that you were failed so horribly by your humans……..

Pure Evil……. I think the POS who abandoned this precious treasure is absolutely disgusting and headed to a reserved spot in Hell where s/he will burn forever for her/his cruelty…..

I would give everything to snuggle my beloved treasure MacKitty (who passed away @ 14.5, waaaaaaay too soon from liver cancer)…… It’s a heartbreaking thought that precious senior treasures like Buddy are not beloved family members (& die alone, in pain, afraid and worst of all, unloved)……
