A senior dog, twelve years of age, is sitting alone at a busy California animal shelter – Elmo has been at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center since October 21. Elmo’s former family moved and for reasons unknown, they did not make plans to include their dog.

United Hope For Animals

United Hope For Animals writes:

Elmo is a gentlemanly 12-year-old white neutered male German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever Mix who was surrendered by his owner to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on October 21st because they were moving and didn’t make plans for him. Weighing 96 lbs, Elmo is a gentle giant who was easy for our volunteer to handle on leash and responsive to correction, cooperative with everything he was asked to do.

Adding:

Easy going Elmo wants to meet other dogs so he might be a good companion for a multi dog household, but he is recommended for adults only at least while his new family gets to know him. Elmo is our stately senior teddy bear, who just wants and needs a warm cozy home for his golden years.
