In a heartless act of animal cruelty and neglect on Sunday night, an unknown person left 10 puppies – no more than two-weeks-of-age, in a filthy bin outside of an animal control facility in Del Rio, Texas. Had it not been for animal control personnel finding the shivering little ones – all curled up together to stay warm, the entire litter would have perished.
When Stac2y Silverstein, co-founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC was called to help, she immediately went into action and arranged for the puppies to be transferred to their partner veterinary hospital for emergency care.
“It doesn’t get much worse or cruel than what you see here in the photo,” Stacey posted on the organization’s Facebook page. “These puppies are maybe 2 weeks old, piled like trash in a bin; no momma and thrown out like garbage. They spent the night in the freezing cold stacked up, huddled together holding on for life.”
