Snow - to be put down on Friday
Spread the love

Her name is Snow, and if help does not come in time, today may be her last day alive. The one-year-old pup was surrendered by her family to the New York Animal Care and Control facility in Manhattan – her owner cited landlord problems as the reason for relinquishing their pet.

A volunteer wrote glowing words about the pretty death row dog:

Winter may be over, but the sight of beautiful, soft, and feathery snow is one that’s always welcome. And 1 year-old Snow is so lovely, comforting, and calm, she’ll make you want to curl up under a blanket and with hot cocoa, no matter the temps outside. Snow is quiet as a mouse in her kennel, looking up at me with those bright amber eyes, politely asking for a walk. So on a walk we go, where she tends to business straight away, afterwards showing off her girly yet elegant walk. She stays right at my side ignoring the hustle and bustle of the city, but pauses at each pup we pass, giving them all a big wiggle and a wag. Snow is said to have previously lived well with another large dog with whom she was gently playful. True to form, the moment we enter the grassy yard she rushes up to greet a furry neighbor through the pen and drops excitedly into a goofy bow.

Snow’s behavior at the facility has been good enough that she is considered to be publicly adoptable – but it is not enough to keep her off of the dreaded “euthanasia list.”

Please help save Snow’s life by taking a moment to share her adoption information – time has almost run out. Questions or offers to help? Call (212) 788-4000 for automated instructions; please reference SNOW – A1110723

  1. Heartbreaking! She is beautiful! So wrong and immoral. Praying for this beautiful girl who has done nothing to deserve a death sentence

  2. Please save her!!!! I am so sick of hearing about all these poor innocent animals killed all the time. We need to start saving them instead of killing them all the time!!!!

    • If all these dogs could find homes none would be euthanized. Blame must be put on owners who surrender their dogs to shelters.

  3. Their should be a age limit before they put dogs down this one was still a pup n put dogs in people’s home as a resue dog. So sad

  4. Snow is doomed to die being stuck in one of NY City’s disgusting filthy hell holes with Risa Weinstock in control. She cares nothing about any animal in NYCACC – they are no more than trash to her regardless of health, age or temperament. Snow deserves MUCH better than to be another notch in her belt of death. PLEASE someone rescue this beautiful innocent dog and get her out of Witch Weinstock’s hands.
