UPDATE: Man videoed abusing dog on Fresno street

In Fresno, California the dog videoed being beaten and dragged on the street has been rescued. The dog named Jack was discovered with his owner by Animal Control officers, however the owner ran away and has not been apprehended. Jack, however is safe and in the custody of the Central California SPCA.

According to KmphNews, a spokesperson from the SPCA stated they are in the process of gathering evidence to submit to the District Attorney’s Office. The public is being warned not to approach the dog’s owner if they see him; instead call the police and report his location. On Wednesday afternoon the Fresno Animal Humane Control asked the public to help identify the man captured on video abusing Jack on Ventura and M Streets in downtown Fresno.

The disturbing video showed the man beating  Jack, dragging the dog and then picking him up by his leash. The dog could be heard whining in pain while enduring the painful cruelty.

  1. Nothing will happen even if he is caught by authorities – hopefully, some strong animal advocates will find this spineless bastard and give him what he really deserves – the beating of his life.

  2. Now let’s hope someone steps up to adopt this poor baby….hoping with all my heart that he doesn’t end up being put down in this place. Thank you for rescuing him!

  3. The important thing is the dog is no longer in his possession. He is safe. I hope they find the abuser and he is charged!
