A young Blue Heeler mother dog does her best to protect her eight newborn puppies in a crowded Texas shelter. Volunteers from the San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA) continue to reach out to the public for help hoping to save the lives of this beautiful family.

438972: Flower and her 8 newborns are looking for a safe place to grow! This momma is doing her best to raise her pups in the crazy kennels, but urgently needs a home where she can relax. Flower is a Blue Heeler blend, about 45 lbs, and 2 yrs old.

PAST DEADLINE! Needs Commitment by 9:30AM and Picked Up by 6:30PM Wednesday 7/5!** To adopt, foster, or rescue, please email: [email protected].”

Please share this family’s plight with approved rescue organizations and foster opportunities. This isn’t Flower’s fault; it is her previous owner’s lack of responsibility which very well may lead to the death of this dog and her puppies who have not even had a chance to enjoy the beauty of life. Sharing saves lives, and Flower and her puppies only have hours to live. Even short term fosters can mean the difference between life and death for these dogs.

There needs to be a specific one stop place to connect more rescues to these poor dogs! Texas and Southern California have become like a foreign country in how they treat animals. It is tragic!
