This week, in the midst of a heat wave in southern California, somebody left a dog tied up to a pole. According to ABC 7 News, the dog left to suffer in the extreme heat died on Wednesday.
Residents near the 7400 block of South San Pedro Street contacted the Los Angeles Police Department after hearing the restrained dog’s cries – by the time police arrived in the early afternoon, the dog, a Rottweiler mix, was dead. Whoever tied the dog up did not leave any water, or access to shade.
No word on who the dog belonged to – the investigation into this case of animal cruelty continues.
