Terrified, bonded dogs at animal control

Terrified, distraught, confused and sad – words which only begin to describe the emotions of two puppies at a busy Florida animal control agency. The dogs, dubbed “Hooper,” and “Cooper,” are just eight months of age – though they are just pups, they are already homeless and in need of help.

On July 29, nearly a week after the bonded pups arrived at the Orange County Animal Services facility, the Rescue Me Orlando Facebook page wrote:

Dogs are mans best friend. Not only is that true, but Hooper (A383750) and Cooper (A383751) are also best friends. We have emailed the shelter for more details about them, however these boys do seem bonded. They are both 8 months old, heart worm negative and find comfort in the scary shelter. They were cuddled up together all day!

Can you imagine the fear that these pups are experiencing? Nothing around them is familiar – nothing smells like home. No faces are of a loved one – no sounds bring comfort.

Please help find a home for these pups – preferably a home which can welcome these bonded friends together.

  1. One would think that in a civilized country like the US, such things would not happen. Unfortunately it seems that people with mental illness can be found anywhere in the world. It is too easy to neglect and torture our furry siblings, they are dependent, vulnerable, helpless even though they are the most loving and loyal souls in the world!

  2. WHAT a TRAVESTY !!!!! OUR GREAT NATION ( Trump INSPIRED quote) has a VERY LARGE SECTION of OUR POPULATION that is not SO GREAT!!! THE POS THAT DUMPED THESE DESERVING BROTHERS FOR ONE!!!! I CAN ONLY HOPE A RESCUE WILL NOT LET THEM BE KILLED TOMORROW!!!!

  3. So sad for these two babies, left in the street to care for themselves. Asking god to please help them find a home together for a second chance in life.

  4. I’m in tears again and don’t know what to say anymore! I so wish society would be sick and outraged over the cruel and insensitive treatment of our countries dog populatiom! To at lease TRY and change the cruel and unfair plight of innocent dogs!!!!!

  5. I hate to see such heartbreaking photos of pups. I pray for them and that someone in the Florida area reaches out to help them!
