girls allegedly set dog on fire

Teens accused of burning dog with lighter have been arrested

In Greensboro, North Carolina, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has charged two teenagers with animal cruelty for allegedly having burned a dog using a lighter and an aerosol  spray can. When the teens posted the video to Snapchat, it quickly went viral showing one of the girls pointing to a dog in flames.

According to the Sacramento Bee, a 13-year-old and 14-year-old girl were involved with the evil deed;  one of the girls shown in the video used the lighter to set the dog on fire while the other held the camera. The Snapchat caption read:

 “…she burnt the dog.”

Bella, a chocolate Labrador Retriever, has been treated at Benessere Animal Hospital in Greensboro. Although her fur was burned, and she had paint on her tail, the dog was not seriously injured. The back of her fur was singed and melted. The mother of one of the teens stated her daughter made a stupid mistake, and although she deserved to be punished, she also deserved to be forgiven. FoxNews reports Bella will stay at the veterinarian hospital until she is ready to be adopted. That decision will be made by the attorney general’s office.

Forgiven? Is she serious? That’s why this snotnose has no regard for a living creature. No guidance or boundaries at home. Along with any other miscreants involved. No. Community service at minimum. Supervised at a shelter facility.

Yes mom, it was a stupid thing to do and she does deserve punishment. As for the forgiveness, what if she torched the dog so badly he died?Community service dealing with animals that have been abused to see exactly how some facilities and rescues try all means to save a dog or cat. Animals feel pain and these teens need to realize that they were lucky that this dog did not die.

You must be kidding! One of the teens’ mother believed her daughter should be punished, but also be forgiven for trying to set a dog on fire. Would you forgive me if I try to set your daughter’s hair on fire? You can forgive your daughter, after she and her friend spend some time in jail and pay for Bella’s medical expense.

YOU STUPID BITCH, THE ONLY REASON THAT DOG IS STILL ALIVE IS THAT YOUR DAUGHTERS ARE AS STUPID, INCOMPETENT, AND CLUELESS AS YOU ARE!!!

The UK recently had a case of animal cruelty where the PARENTS were also held accountable for the cruelty committed by their violent and evil offspring. Judging from this ‘mother’s’ (and I use that word only because that is what she is, BIOLOGICALLY) words, I think we also need to start doing that. Our own system of laws is based upon theirs, and it stands to reason that these fiends learned their callous behavior from equally callous parents.

That does not mean that they aren’t responsible! Far from it! They have choices, and they do know right from wrong. They simply don’t care. They could be locked up for life as far as I’m concerned.

I feel the same way as everyone posting here. The mother is trying to act like what her daughter did was no big deal. HA! If it were my daughter I would be sick, plus I know that she needs to get mental help right away! What could she do the next time burn her mother to death? The mother may be the one to forgive but for the rest of us, we should (especially the legal dept) make sure she gets the punishment she deserves!

HELL NO, too many kids have been forgiven. Time to slam the lid on them. They do the deed they serve the time. Her “stupid mistake” was the faulty of the parents in the first place for not laying down the law as she was growing up. The parents should be charged as well. They are the ones that gave her the thought that it would be OK to do this to the dog.

She made a mistake? Don’t think so! This mom better wake up and get this cruel, dog abusing teen some much needed psychiatric help! And her cohort as well is in dire need of mental help! She deserves no forgiveness until she is TRULY remorseful, and even then I’d have a hard time with forgiving her! I’m glad these two little jerks were finally arrested, BUT I SMELL A BIG FAT SLAP ON THE WRIST COMING! I hope and pray the judge in this case orders psychiatric help, before they evolve into harming others helpless animals or children! This is exactly how these psychos start out……harming, torturing and killing animals at a young age! The judicial system and the parents of these brats need to be VERY alarmed at this cruel unacceptable behavior! SMH

No, this wasn’t just a silly “mistake” and these monsters don’t deserve forgiveness. Anyone who can do something like this to an innocent animal is not right in the head. These girls are sociopaths, and there is NO cure for that. Lock them up to protect humans and animals. Glad the dog will be okay and hoping he gets a lover forever home.

O Mom – you are a prime example of the parents who make excuses for their punk kids cruelty towards animals – this is NOT like getting caught after curfew – these brat bitches intentionally attempted to seriously hurt an innocent defenseless animal – FORGIVEN is not even my vocabulary for anyone who abuses an animal. Mistake, hardly – this was done purposely. Thank God the dog will be OK – this kid, I doubt it.

I agree with everybody here, plus put the mom in jail too because she didn’t do a good job of parenting. Mom needs to learn to take responsibility for her kid too.

Oh, mom, you raised your child to have no empathy for other living creatures. Worse yet, they wanted PUBLICITY for it, as though proud of their vial cruelty. Forgiveness? I think not. A stupid mistake? No indeed….the mistake here is yours for raising a no count ass wipe. Write her off! Something is missing like a heart or soul to do such a horrifying thing and then CAPTURE IT ON FILM AND BRAG??? This is not stupid, but all the makings of a sociopath.
