Dog homeless after landlord said that he had to go

A young dog, just three years of age, has been homeless for months after he lost his new home. The dog, named “Xander,” wound up at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California back in February when his new owner was forced to surrender the dog because the landlord said that Xander had to go.

Xander is described as an amazing, sweet dog who scored a commendable “B” on his temperament test. Back in February, shortly after Xander arrived at the animal control agency, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, wrote:

Sweet XANDER is perfect, did amazing on his TEMP TEST and he was adopted for about a week until the Landlord told him to get out. He is sweet and HOUSEBROKEN and he needs help now! Please SHARE for his life, he is VERY special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him.

Fast forward to mid-June to find this sweet boy still locked away behind bars – still homeless and increasingly at risk of losing his young life.

Please help Xander have the chance to live by taking a moment to share his adoption information.

  1. This dog has been at Carson since February, it’s a wonder he is still alive to begin with!. Why do people get dogs if they aren’t allowed where they live, it would seem they should check with the “landlord” first!. I hope Xander finds his way out!

    • Hi there my gut is telling me why the landlord said that the dog had to go is because the dog is a pit bull but i might be wrong and if i am wrong i totally agree in what you said

  2. This is so sad. Pit bulls have so much up against them to begin with and it breaks my heart. So many of them need help and homes. Too much harm and death is coming to one of gods most perfect creations 🙂 Pit bull breeders; STOP. too many are dying each day already.

  3. Look at that beautiful face – Xander deserves a safe loving home – Pit Bulls are wonderful dogs and he will give all the love and companionship anyone could ever want. PLEASE help this gorgeous boy get a safe loving home – he deserves the very best.
