On May 31, at approximately 7:00 p.m. surveillance cameras for a business in St. Elmo, Tennessee showed two people in a bright blue new Dodge Ram 1500 truck stop in a parking lot. The blue truck pulls to the end of the lot and stops at the entrance to the building. One of the occupants opens the door on the passenger side, goes to the back of the bed of the truck, picks up a cardboard box and then places it down. He then hurries back into the truck and takes off.

According to the McKamey Animal Center, two emaciated Plott hounds. In a statement to NewsChannel 9, Jamie McLoon, executive director of the rescue organization stated:

“The video, certainly, demonstrated that there were individuals that had unloaded this box of puppies at this business… “the dogs are under treatment right now at the veterinary clinic… they are alive and they are being treated. We see more puppies getting abandoned in the summertime. Often, they’re not injured or ill, they’re just surplus that people wanted to get rid of.”

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the individuals.

“Animal Abandonment is against the law and in this case the animals were in extremely poor condition and needed immediate veterinary care.

  1. You can see the license plate. I would think the plates could be run and you could press charges !!!!!!!!! They should NOT get away with any part of this !!!! They should be held accountable for the emaciated condition and abandonment …. NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL HEARTLESS MONSTERS LIKE THESE GUYS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE !!!!!!!

  2. FYI, they aren’t Plott Hounds, but Bluetick Coonhounds. That being said, anyone who can hurt an animal is scum in my book. To do something to a hound???? I want to tear them apart with my bare hands, piece by piece. Hounds are the sweetest, most loving dogs. That someone could neglect these two puppies and then just abandon them – like trash…. I’m livid! Glad the puppies were saved, and hoping they catch the monsters who dumped them!

  3. I have to say I am happy they dropped them off instead of killing them and torturing them to death. The fact that they are emaciated shows that someone wasn’t feeding them. Was it on purpose they were starving them or could they not affird to feed them. We may never know or maybe they found them. It would be better always if you cannot take care of your pet take them to the rescue.

  4. Take the video to the police….maybe they can enhance it and get the license plate and find out the POS who owns the truck.

  5. I hope the St. Elmo TV stations are using this video so the public can see who these maggots are – the truck is very identifiable and these scumbags need to be identified – they are criminals and should be arrested, prosecuted and dumped in the worst jail in Tennessee – let their useless butts become victims – these dogs deserve MUCH better. I truly hope those miserable skanks are caught.

  6. I pray they find this SOB. It is obvious that they are low life irresponsible son of bitches,. I pray they have nightmares for the rest of their pathetic life. Prayers, for a good loving home for them, they are adorable.
