For Blessing the dog, Thanksgiving Day will have a special significance; it was the day her life was saved. Found on the side of a road in Georgia, the young, emaciated dog had likely been dumped like trash and left to die a slow, agonizing death. Her legs had been wrapped with twine – tied so tightly the circulation to her paw was completely cut off – in fact her paw was gone.
And tragically, in addition to her one paw missing, her other front leg is either broken or deformed.
When Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were notified – arrangements were made to transfer Blessing to the organization’s veterinarian partner. As Jackie O’Sullivan, co-founder of the rescue, posted Blessing’s photos on Facebook, she has assured animal advocates, that Blessing will indeed get the help she needs.
“Please help us help Blessing who is wagging her tail & giving kisses despite the pain. Sometimes not a lot of words are always needed. Her photos tell her story.”

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your having your favorites among those to “see first.”
